FROM THE PASTORS DESK:

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK:

“Living in an area that is blessed with lots of trees and open space, we are also subject to many squirrels running through the neighborhood. One day, as I was driving, I had to apply the brakes -- not once but three times -- for these little fellows, and all within a short stretch of road. Squirrels tend to run out into the road, then stop, and then run a bit more, or even turn and run back the way they have just come. They can cause drivers to stop and wait while they make their way to safer ground. On this particular day as I was trying to get from one location to another and having to be aware of the squirrels, I must admit that my frustration was rising. It was during this time that I felt the Lord impress upon me the following verse:Psalm 46:10 - “Be still, and know that I am God.” How many times in our day we are in such a rush to get all the errands done and make sure we are on time for this and for that! We can miss so much that the Lord wants us to see or even share with us. Our lives can resemble the squirrel darting here and darting there, stopping and running the other way.” (Julie Bowles Barrie, Ontario, Canada)
May God help us today, and the following days, to be still, take time to stop and think and meditate on God, on the things of God, on the blessings of God and on the will of God. Don’t allow the enemy to rob us of our privilege and our honor to dwell in the presence of Him who is our Savior, Lord and Master. And in dwelling in His presence, there will be those many times when our minds and hearts are turned to Him and tuned in to His voice.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY

“GOD DOES NOT ASK ABOUT OUR ABILITY OR OUR INABILITY BUT OUR AVAILABILITY.”

THANK YOU
Thank you to Michael and David Yancey who have been helping Janae keep the yards looking nice. Also, a special thanks to Jerry and Alex Esparza, Mike, Michael, and David Yancey for the HARD work they did on trimming the bushes in the front and side of the church. They worked long and hard to get it done and we appreciate it so very much.
Thanks to Cindy for planting the beautiful flowers in the front. As always, she does a tremendous job in all the decorations.
REMINDERS
Continue to pray about the roof project. We are getting estimates ready to see what we can do about getting the roof replaced. It would be nice to get this done before the snow flies again.
Sis. Heather wanted me to remind all of you who have artificial plants and bushes or trees that we can us for VBS to either bring them now or let her know what you have and when you can bring it to the church. Everyone is working diligently getting ready.
