Special: Yancey Family: I am Blessed

Pastor Mike Yancey

Pray for One Another

Dear Friends,

I hope you have had a good week and that you have felt the Lord close at times. Some have had some very interesting experiences the last few days. We are encouraged to bear one another’s burdens, let them know we care. Being the pastor, I don’t mind doing it, and rather enjoy visiting with our people, but please don’t let your “busyness” keep you from reaching out to others. We should be a strong network of spiritual brothers and sisters who seek to lift each other’s loads. I know that Barb’s daughter, Sandy, has had a great bout of sickness, near the brink of death. She was in church Wednesday night and fighting to stay strong. Brother and Sister Croy have battled with his sickness and have asked for our prayers. Sickness can make you depressed. Hold them up. Sis. Heldenbrand was in the hospital this week with an infected toe amputated. She is doing better. John Hooks is still trying to recuperate from his sickness and fall. Others have prayed for wisdom to raise their children. One is praying for a new job. Others are struggling with habits they want to break, and are praying God will help them. A lady requested prayer for her son, who has battled the price of sin in his life. Some have been making great strides personally and spiritually, and the devil is fighting hard. We need each other’s prayers and spiritual support!

When you come to the house of God, He is here, and moving! Here you are encouraged and bind together with others to pray and seek His face for help. I have a vision of this church growing stronger as a family, well connected, fighting any form of division, continuing to grow as a body of believers, where the united power of God does things.

There are many large projects that will need attention in the coming months at the church and parsonage. The church needs new carpet, sprinkle system needs repair, the parking lot is cracking, parsonage basement is damaged, back yard needs grass, and the church trim needs painted. The list seems endless. Please pray that God will supply the finances needed to complete these projects.

Pastor Mike will be away in revival in May, OK. February 21-26. Please ask the Lord to anoint his ministry there. Bro. Jerry will be filling in for him on the 26th. Pray for him as well.

Revival, a time of spiritual refreshment is schedule for the week of April 9th through the 15th with Rev. Larry Pettit. Rev. Pettit pastor’s the Pilgrim Nazarene Church in Davenport, Iowa.
