Special: Mike & Gina Yancey: He is so Precious

Pastor Mike Yancey

Looking for a City

Looking for a City…it was said Abraham could never build a permanent house for himself after he had seen the city whose builder and maker is God…

Let’s keep our eyes on that real estate couched in the clouds, just behind that thin blue veil, coming down from God out of heaven. With every pain, with every sick relative, with every financial struggle, with every temptation and trial…let us keep thinking of that home beyond the sky, and looking for a city.

This week has been tough but a week of recovery for several. John Cooke, Tammy’s father, is doing better and going home from the hospital. Sis. Heldenbrand is looking forward to being here Sunday.  Sandy still needs our prayers, but is doing much better. Continue to pray for John Hooks.

The week has flown by and I am getting ready to leave for a few days. I will be in May, OK., preaching a revival for Aaron Johnson, a friend of this church. Please support the concern with prayers that God will work in our midst. Bro. Jerry is scheduled to fill in for us this next Sunday.  Thank you, Bro. Jerry, for being faithful and helping out. I will return approximately Wednesday the 29th.  My cell phone is 720-289-5956 for emergencies. The house parsonage phone is 303-986-5866. Regina will be here.

Thank God for what He is doing in our midst….let’s keep open and seeking Him. He is the answer.

Ephesians 6:10  “be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might18 praying at all times in the Spirit… with all perseverance…”

“And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband” – Rev. 21:2

There are many large projects that will need attention in the coming months at the church and parsonage. The church needs new carpet, sprinkle system needs repair, the parking lot is cracking, parsonage basement is damaged, back yard needs grass, and the church trim needs painted. The list seems endless. Please pray that God will supply the finances needed to complete these projects.

Revival, a time of spiritual refreshment is schedule for the week of April 9th through the 15th with Rev. Larry Pettit. Rev. Pettit pastor’s the Pilgrim Nazarene Church in Davenport, Iowa.
