Sunday Jene 5th, 2011 AM- Mike and Gina Yancey

He is the Burden Bearer

Do You Have A Vision for this Church?:
Dear family, the next several weeks will be hit and miss in many ways. Please be patient as we go through this summer. I will be gone June 13-30 and July 23-August 2. The ladies of the children's ministry are already working hard for VBS in August. We are about to have our annual church meeting Wednesday night, in which many matters of business will be discussed as to the future of this church and its core group and vision. God has indeed been on our services in a mighty way. Hold on, and keep on your knees.

David, my son, had a slight concussion Saturday, and I myself have taken a pretty hard fall, injuring my shoulder. I am sure some of you have kept up on Sis. Albertson's treatment. Let's continue to pray for her and our own dear Bro. John Hooks.

I believe in many ways we are starting over, and it is God's way. We must rethink our mission and our program. We must understand that we are together pulling. If you are given to grumble and criticism, this is not the attitude that will make this church a blessing to each other and others outside.
It is God's will that we are committed to a cause and willing to put our all into it. Any other disposition makes you a patient and not a care-giver. We need souls who eat meat and not just drink milk from a bottle, people who can catch a vision, a heavenly vision, and hold on in prayer, faith believing that His will be accomplished in you and this church. Understand the opposition of the enemy is a sure sign that God is moving in our midst on a personal and congregational level. Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation of discouragement, bitterness, etc. Keep sweet, and play a harp like David instead of throwing a javelin like Saul! It is my conviction that God has put us together to go forward, and I believe we have the right attitudes and character to make this happen. God Bless.- Pastor Mike

A few of the ladies have been cleaning the church every week. If you are able to help in any way to help carry this load, they would deeply appreciate it. Let’s work together to keep God’s house looking nice.
